Rocco had a session with me yesterday morning working on his dog reactivity due to a past situation this has made Rocco protective and fearful aggressive. A lot of Roccos behaviour was being reinforced without realising so we built up Roccos owners confidence first before we works on Rocco. A lot of stress was being transferred through the lead so once the lead was relaxed Rocco began to relax. He was also on a slip lead figure of 8 (turns into a halti) which was causing a lot of frustration and allowing Rocco to lunge, take control of the situation and spin around (previous redirection). So we conditioned Rocco to a herm sprenger prong collar to ensure safety was in place for both Rocco and his owner, gain full control and minimise his behaviour.
