Road trips with kids can be hard but the more prepared you are, the easier the are! I try to plan ahead as well as I can so our trips go as smoothly as possible. There are 3 things I always have with us on road trips to make the drive easier. I always bring our restaurant bag. This makes eating out while on a trip so much easier. I have a play dough kit for each girl and all the essentials to eat at a restaurant in one small bag. This way I don’t have to bring in my diaper bag when we go inside. I have our activity bag for the car as well. This has all kinds of things for the girls to do while we’re driving. I like to include interactive books, coloring supplies, LCD drawing tablets, foam magnetic blocks, and other fun activities for the kids that work well in the car. This keeps the girls busy and happy and helps us to reduce screen time! And I always have our car diaper caddy stocked for road trips for quick diaper changes on the way. I also keep an extra change of clothes for each girl in here. It keeps us organized and prepared to make stops along the way as quick and efficient as possible. Being prepared like this on car trips really has made a huge difference for us. I’m so much less stressed when I know where everything is.
