In 1989, the year this song was released, we went to the (then) world’s largest restaurant, the Royal Dragon in Bangkok, for our 8th anniversary on October 26. It seated 5,000 (we had table no. 368) and the waiter delivered our meal on rollerskates because the kitchen was so far away from our table. I can’t remember if the food was good or not. It didn’t matter because it was such a magical, romantic evening. I do recall laughing a lot. Maybe we were laughing at Duane’s weird hair day. Or mine. Or the waiter’s. Tonight, we had Margherita pie from our favorite neighborhood pizzeria, Gotham. Duane ordered it with extra sauce because he’s that kind of guy.
