Chili lime shrimp tacos with salsa verde 💚 My favorite thing to make with tomatillos! Some salsa verde, with some delicious homemade shrimp tacos to put it on! To make the shrimp: Season 1lb of shrimp with zest of one lime, juice of two limes, paprika, cumin, spicy pepper powder, salt and pepper to taste Grill shrimp on cast iron skillet over medium high heat, cooking 3 minutes per side. To make the salsa verde: Roast tomatillos in a roasting pan, along with one onion, one bulb of garlic, and jalapeños and Serranos to taste. I used 2 jalapeños and three Serranos and it was maybe 6/10 spicy. Sprinkle with salt. All of this is to taste. Can use as much or as little as you’d like. Roast at 450 until charred. Transfer to blender or food processor and add lime juice and cilantro to taste. Add salt to taste. To make tortillas: 2 cups masa flour 1/2 tsp salt Add water until you can form a disk without the dough cracking. Press with tortilla press. Cook 15 seconds on a cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Then flip. Cool 90 seconds. Then flip. It should inflate at the last flip. It’s done! Serve tacos with shrimp, top with salsa verde, onion, radish, cilantro, and chive blossoms.
