Number #1 of my 40 favourite songs I’ve been introduced to since the start of my music reaction journey. Firstly I would like to say thank you so much for everyone who stayed and watched my top 40 countdown, Im sorry if your favourite song didn’t make the list, I have heard so many great songs, that even for me it was hard for me to choose. I want to say this journey has been truly delightful and each song meant so much to me. When I started my reactions the very first suggestion I was given was pink Floyd “Another brick in the wall” I remember being very skeptical about it, not growing up listening to rock music I didn’t think I would enjoy it. After some convincing I decided to listen to it, once hearing this song I instantly liked it and ended up going down the amazing rabbit hole of rock music, I sat down and took this song in without judging ears. when that opening guitar blessed my ears and soul I remember thinking, what is this. David Gilmour is a genius on guitar, and an amazing song writer, those deep lyrics had took me by surprise and that catchy chorus showed me there’s more to music than what I know. This song is so much. More than just a legendary classic, it marks the start of my journey, if it wasn’t for pink Floyd I don’t think I would be where I am or given rock music a listen, big shout to out to pink Floyd at number 1.
