So if we’re buying new for a trip, we shouldn’t forget that these need to serve us when we return to real life. The easiest impulse buys are when we imagine a situation quite removed from our day to day, as we are dressing for an alternate reality. Retailers are banking on this fantasy wardrobe so be extra careful to check for quality and avoid plastics! #anthropologie #fastfashion #holidayfashion #mindfulmondaymethod

Fendi’s Baguette is a very interesting bag because its updated versions look extremely similar to its vintage counterparts, in size, materials and even prominence of the logo. This is an iconic style, thanks to Sex and The City, so alike Chanel’s small classic, I can see why there’s been no demand to dramatically change its appearance. However, with so many near identical secondhand options from the early 2000’s, this choice is really obvious to me. Secondhand, no? Interested to hear alternative opinions on this!

Today we’re looking at a pencil skirt from Massimo Dutti, which is also in one of the most common fabrications used for summer clothing: viscose and linen. When something looks like a sensible wardrobe staple how do we discern if it is actually a good purchase that not only washes and wears well but could be aligned with our goals to buy less but better? #massimodutti #mindfulmondaymethod #capsulewardrobe * one item is not indicative of an entire collection, just like I don’t recommend entire labels for clothes. It’s about sustainable buys NOT brands. By looking at pieces individually we can teach ourselves how to spot quality, thereby save money and reduce waste!
