Replying to @user038599399494 Should you use disposable liners? Maybe! Maybe not. It depends on how far zero waste and low tox you're trying to go. 🌿If you're just trying to reduce waste generated by diapering your baby and you aren't concerned about bamboo, then these can be a decent option as long as it works for your families budget. If You're trying to reduce waste as much as possible, you're concerned about bamboo against the skin, or you are working on a tight budget, these might not be the best solution. For many parents, reusable liners are a good choice, but it all depends on your circumstances. 💚 #ClothDiaperLiners #DisposableLiners #ClothDiapering #LowWaste #LowTox

Replying to @krystalellis947 Cloth diapers have been proven safe and effective through many generations. Cotton cleans very easily in the wash machine. 🧼 And when you're saving money with cloth diapers, you don't have to worry about the cost of changing diapers frequently! Cloth or disposable, babies should be changed every 2-3 hours as recommended by the AAP to prevent rashes, irritation, and infections. 🤒 Disposable diapers are relatively new! The ramifications of having plastic and chemicals against baby's skin is unknown. Cotton on the other hand is natural and gentle on the skin. 🌿 #ClothDiapering #ClothDiapers #ReusableDiapers #MakeLaundryNotLandfill #MakeClothMainstream #ReduceReuseRediaper #ZeroWaste #SlowLivingMovement

Sometimes partners get on board with cloth diapering quick! But sometimes they take time to warm up to it. It can be scary to tread unfamiliar waters. Here are some tips and approaches to consider! 👉🏻 Show them how it's done by example, and be willing to offer encouragement. 👉🏻 Try your best not to micromanage, or offer unnecessary critique. 👉🏻 Try keeping fresh cloth diapers ready to use and available near the diaper change area, especially if they're very hesitant. 👉🏻 If you're willing to compromise, it's okay to have them use disposables. Sometimes it can help them come to their own conclusions. They might realize that disposables don't work as well, or decide that the cost is simply too high and that it's silly to not use the cloth diapers on hand. 👉🏻 Alternatively, it's okay to put your foot down if you're not willing to compromise. If you feel compelled to exclusively use cloth diapers, or know that disposable diapers would be a steep financial burden for your family, a firm approach may be appropriate. #SustainableSwaps #ClothDiaperMom #ReduceReuseRediaper #SlowLiving #ReusableDiapers

@Green Mountain Diapers Comparison between the unbleached and white versions of our 2 sided cloth wipes! These are shaped perfectly for the job, instead of trying to fold wipes as you go, simply use several smaller wipes. It can feel a little bit more practical and less cumbersome. Terry cloth is great for main cleanups, and flannel is good for final touch ups. These are great for cleaning up faces and fingers after mealtimes. Use the more textured side for big messes, and the flannel side on delicate areas like between the nose and lips. Cloth wipes are multifunctional, and earn their keep. If you haven't tried reusable baby wipes yet, check out our sample pack! Explore 7 varieties of eco friendly and sustainable cloths that can be used for many applications. #ClothWipes #ReusableBabyWipes #ClothDiapering #SustainableSwaps #LowToxLifestyle

The slight panic 😂 Understandably, pins look intimidating. They are sharp, and as parents we generally have little alarm bells go off when we perceive danger. That's normal! Here's a few tips for using cloth diaper pins. 🌿 Breathe. A calm and confident mom helps baby be calm and confident. 🌿 Know that it might not go perfectly. Your fit might be a little wonky at first as you learn, but with practice you will get better. 🌿 Always keep a finger between the baby and the pin, this security keeps the pin from poking your baby just incase. 🌿 Try pinching the material, and sliding the pin parallel to the baby's body. This can help it go through. 🌿 Keep a bar of soap in your diaper change area. Poke the pin into the soap, and this will help it slide through the fabric. 🌿 If it's not going as planned, it's okay to give it a rest and try again when you're ready. While pins can be tricky, many parents feel that they elevate the cloth diapering experience. #ClothDiapering #ClothDiapers #SustainableSwaps #ZeroWaste #SlowLivingMom
