As promised, a Christmas gift recipe for you. 🌟 Body butter coins are simple to whip up and a great answer for when you want to give a little gift, but not spend a lot - or for stocking fillers and decorating your tree too! 🎄 I've made this recipe as simple as I can, but the one ingredient you might need to get is cocoa butter. It smells heavenly and is a hard butter that's great for dry and cracked winter skin, combined with coconut oil you might well have in your store cupboard! You'll need (makes 2 bars): 53g cocoa butter 10g coconut oil 20 drops of Vitamin E (optional) 18 drops of your favourite essential oils - I used Mandarin, Sweet Orange and Rosemary Silicone muffin mould or ice cube mould 🌟 Add the butter and oil to a bowl and gently melt like chocolate over a pan of hot water 🌟 Allow to cool to below 40C or to about body temperature 🌟 Add your essential oils and optional Vitamin E and mix 🌟 Pop the mix in the fridge or wait till it's cloudy but still doesn't hold its shape when you mix it 🌟 Pour the mix into the mould and wait till it sets 🌟 Decorate by wrapping with glassine paper or baking paper and twine - tuck a little winter foliage in for the finishing touch Notes - Go for organic ingredients if you can. Adding Vitamin E helps your bar last longer, but it'll still be fine for 1-2 months if not. Most essential oils are fine at these quantities but be careful with a couple like ylang ylang or rose - send me a DM if in doubt and I'll check for you! 🌿 I'd love to know if you try this!
