A tale as old as time ✨ I hate going out to group dinners and having to deal with a bill. But when I do, I like to put my card down so I can get the points. I will also go around the table and give everybody their total. It is so important that you make sure people pay you the tax !! it is also state dependent, in Massachusetts it’s 6%. 6% doesn’t seem like a lot, but if you have a lot of people going out, that adds up. Most people forget about it too. I will gladly remind people to not forget about the 6% tax. If you are giving 20% gratuity, have them add up all of their items, and then multiply by 1.26.
