Sometimes that surprise is more spectacular than others. Here, you can hear a flourish of notes generated with this cactus and a PlantWave controlling the “Computer Blossom” soundset. It’s a collection of instruments inspired by an electronic music pioneer, Joel Vandroogenbroeck, who in the 1980s made computer and modular synthesizer music inspired by plants.
