Hia! So my name's Jessie and I'm a freelance film maker from Newcastle, (among other creative things but today I'm a film maker!) Had a wonderful time doing this mixed media stop motion animation project with local trans riot punk band Dinky Bossetti 😊 The finished video is now on YouTube (link in bio) so it would be nice if you had a little watch 😁 It was very low budget, but I needed an escape from seasonal affective disorder so thought a big project would help (and it did!) Dinky Bossetti are a fantastic band and I really like their songs, they often play at the bar I work in so thought it would be a good idea to get in touch! Turns out that mixed media stop motion is no easy feat though! I found filming and directing and editing straight forward enough but suddenly realised that meant I had 4300 frames to 'illustrate' and that took up my whole month of November 😅 Luckily there was a deadline which my ADHD was thankful for as otherwise it would never have gotten finished and would otherwise be in the graveyard of forgotten projects. But it's nice to know that you can make something really cool with a small budget - and this with technique particularly, means you don't need an expensive camera as the video is going to be turned into frames anyway.
