Weller had his one year follow up for his total hip replacement today and we got great news from the orthopedic specialist! He said the implant looks absolutely perfect— it literally couldn’t have healed any better than it did. It’s also looking like Weller will NOT need his other hip replaced after all, despite him having severe dysplasia on the left side as well. I showed the surgeon videos of Weller walking and running and he felt Weller was getting around remarkably with only the right side being replaced. He said Weller has learned to compensate using his new metal hip really, really well.
