3 LINEART TIPS ⬇️ 1. Working directly on sketch layer (personal preference but with reasoning) usually when I do lineart on a new layer, it looses a lot of that organic shape and flow that I originally had in the sketch! So I prefer to clean up my sketch instead! 2. Vary your lines thickness This is known as line weight - you can use lighter or heavier lines to indicate weight, shadow, depth and create focus! For this drawing I am trying to mimic Hades’ artstyle which has strong use of line weight! 3. Do Master Studies (aka study another artists style) In this case I’m doing a master study based on the Hades game art (artist is Jen Zee) I noticed how much they push their line weight & aren’t afraid to cover entire areas! This showed me I could be way more courageous with my lines and use it to create shapes rather than “just lines” !
