Welcome to the Deaf family! Except for the dogs, who are hearing. We adopted them when they were babies, and now they are almost eight years old! We are an all Deaf/HoH family. No, it’s not a genetic deafness! It's rare to have deaf children from Deaf parents; most 90% of Deaf and hard of Hearing children are born to hearing parents. We primarily use ASL.
