Elevation requires consecration. Consecration is being dedicated unto the Lord, in all of your works, thinking, and ways. Understand that, in order for you to lay hold of a promise from the Lord, you must first be consecrated unto the Lord, so that you can receive clear direction and instruction from the Lord. You cannot expect to know how to lay hold of a promise, and maintain the promise, without Holy Spirit discernment.
