Allow me to speed you up on game!! Brands are aware that now a days customers are opting to the clean side of home & fragrances as well as skincare. Its 2024 & with the internet at the tip of our fingers. Word is rapidly spreading of the dangers in ingredients being used in products. With this being said & as a business owner who uses reading ingredient lists as a involuntary hobby, ive noticed a LOT OF FALSE ADVERTISING! Brands will advertise their products as (for example their candles) being made with essential oils. But we have to be logical here. What plant smells like bluerry pancakes or lemon pound cake ?🤦🏽‍♀️ What is being used is FRAGRANCE OILS. Which there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Essential oils do not provide a potent scent like fragrance oils do nor do they come in all the fun & yummy scents. The problem isnt the type of scent being used. The problem is the brand misleading customers. Brands can add literally ONE DROP of essential oil into their big batch & the rest be all fragrance oils. That way they can advertise it as being made with essential oils. This post is solely to educate. That way if youre in search of specific ingredients. Now you know what to look for & questions to ask! I believe that you can use whatever you choose & works best for your brand. But be transparent about it. As in some cases these false advertising instances could cost someone their health, safety or worse!
