‼️Wyatt Update‼️ Wyatt’s sutures came out easily and he is healing wonderfully! We will have to apply some antibiotic cream to it for the next couple days to let it finish the healing process. Before his surgery, the vet was not very confident in being able to remove the entire tumor or get very clean margins due to how deep the tumor was. She was afraid to go too deep because she did not want to mess with any nerves/muscles. Well guess what….THE ENTIRE TUMOR WAS REMOVED AND THERE ARE CLEAN MARGINS ALL THE WAY AROUND!!❤️ Although it is stage 2 soft tissue sarcoma (spindle cells), since she was able to remove the entire tumor and get clean margins, she is very confident that this cancer/tumor will not return for a long time! Since she was able to get clean margins the chances of recurrence is VERY low. Soft tissue sarcoma does not spread which means we should not have to worry about it being in other parts of his body. Although we were crossing our fingers for a miracle of no cancer, this news is absolutely amazing!❤️ Wyatt will now be on periodic monitoring and we will watch him closely for any new lumps/bumps that appear. We are still in shock that the entire tumor was removed and there are clean margins all the way around, even after his surgeon said that she was not able to get as much as she would have liked.
