Stay 20 feet back from all loc hairstyles!!😱😱 I’m just kidding lol Its not the hairstyle but the removal process. If your stylist offers a take down service just gone ahead and book it. 🥹 #Locs #fauxlocs #bohemianbraids #protectivestyles #fyp #lochairstyles

Seeing these white hair bulbs during majority of your hair styles is NOT good. No this does not mean you’re shedding your normal daily hairs… these hairs are being pulled from the root. After many times of pulling these same hairs it will create traction alopecia. I cannot stress this enough… your protective style (mainly braids) should compliment your natural hair. Meaning if you have fine hair strands stick with small weave braids, bigger parts. Never place hair in a bun same day even if it doesn’t hurt you. Use a scarf over a bonnet with a band to prevent friction to the edges while sleeping. Leave the edges out and do not swoop daily, just let them be. 🥹🤗 #Braids #alopecia #alopeciaawareness #hairloss

I do NOT specialize in short cuts 🫣 BUT she trusted the process. 😍😍😍 I gave her other options and she was like nope I want silk press lol. I styled to the best of my abilities, and I actually love the results. For my silk press services, I do recommend 5 inches or more for the style. Only because I feel like it gives us wiggle room to trim off what’s necessary and we’re able to style the hair however you would like. 🤗 #Haircut #Trims #Shortcut #Bigchop

You’ve big chopped your hair and it’s almost your 1 year anniversary… you’re excited because it’s been 1 year of course some growth had to happen. Most people would want to get a silk press to do a length check and to get their ends professionally trimmed. But did you know 💡It is still crucial to be getting your ends trimmed throughout the growing out phase??. Split ends can still happen even if you did a nice clean chop. Unfortunately I do not offer silk Presses on clients hair under 4 inches. To be completely honest… my specialty is not styling short hair & i’m just not about to have you out there like that. I rather you get a blowout, trim and then book a protective style. In the growing out phase (1-2 years) ❤️I do not recommend any silk presses, just minimal blowouts, trims and protective styling only. You will be doing more damaging than good honestly. With the hair being shorter and curly it takes more heat to lay down and also will probably need touchups. (I don’t recommend re applying any heat at all) ❤️I know sometimes the short curly hair can get “boring” but I do not recommend putting any color or bleach on it unless it is done professionally and you will be doing your part at home. When you’re growing out a big chop you want to be as natural as possible, your goal should be to see you hair full potential. Just don’t rush it. 🥰 #Bigchop #Crochet #Braids #protect #relaxer
