I highly recommend starting a toy rotation system right from day one. Basically you rotate their toys. They only have about 5 toys out at any given time, but don't put away the big stuff. Don't put away the their nurturing stuff like their favourite plushie that they like to go to bed with. And don't put away most of their books. But for the most part, only have a few toys out at any given time, maybe once a week, you pack them all up and bring out 5 different ones. They'll look at them like they're new. It's not that they haven't seen them before cause you're just rotating them all the time, but they'll look at them, and they'll play often a little bit differently with them. If they haven't seen that toy for a few months, they're a few months older, they might play with it differently. It stops them from being overstimulated and it teaches them how to focus. If there's too much around, they don't learn how to focus. Also, it keeps your house a lot cleaner. And when you're teaching your kids how to clean up after themselves, it's like five toys get put away. Have parenting questions?
