a true labor of love!! Full recipe below. Cut your brisket into chunks. Submerge in water several times. Then, add your meat to a large pot and boil on high. skim the bubbly impurities from the surface then simmer on medium low heat for two hours. TIP: to elevate and add flavor, add radish, onion and garlic to your water Once the meet is finished cooking, let the brisket cool then remove the fat. Shred by hand. It should easily shred when fully cooked! Now, time to season to your taste. Measure with your heart. Or… 1-2 tablespoons minced garlic 2-3 tablespoons of green onions 1-2 tablespoons of soup soy sauce 1-2 tablespoons of sesame oil 1 tablespoon of gochugaru 1 tablespoon tuna sauce (OPTIONAL) 1 tablespoon of roasted sesame seeds (OPTIONAL) Toss it together then move to Tupperware. Let it sit in the fridge for at least one hour before serving! This banchan should last in the fridge for a week or so <3 #banchan #easyrecipe #koreanrecipes #koreanfood #costcofinds #brisket

on the Michelin guide! 🌮 this is THE taco spot to take your friends when they’re visiting LA/SoCal! Everything’s made to order and comes out hot. Good amount of shrimp and potatoes, especially for the price.
I ordered the $2.50 shrimp tacos (tacos de camaron) and the $11 Poseidon tostada. I was honestly surprised the tacos weren’t more expensive given how popular they are! And the line went fast.
PRO TIP: they have 4 locations around LA. The Boyle Heights truck (on Olympic Blvd) is the OG and has tons of indoor seating but cash only! • #losangelesfood #boyleheights #shrimptacos #tacotruck #cheapeats #michelinguide #mexicanfood #tostadas

My go-to dessert spot for years now!! My FAVE is the injeolmi flavor, which I don’t see a lot of people eating - it’s dusted with roasted soybean powder that has a really nice nutty flavor and comes with red bean. I always get extra mochi and condensed milk too. Personally I prefer Oakobing’s bingsu (Korean shaved ice) over some other spots because theirs is fluffier and creamier with more toppings. The only thing is if you go at a busy time there WILL be a line and you’ll need to hover for a seat! 👀 Parking: $5 valet in the alley. Street is difficult. #dessert #koreanshavedice #bingsu #pasadena #ktownla #koreatown #icecream #losangelesfood #koreanfood #shavedice #injeolmi #blacksesame #strawberry

Non-fermented kimchi is so easy to make! This is called geotjeori and it’s best for beginners. Takes about 2 hours total, including prep and is SO SO YUMMY. Me and @jina kim used @eggietable’s amazing recipe since hers is made specifically to be accessible for everyone! You’ll need from the Asian grocery store: - Napa cabbage (we bought 2 smaller ones) - Korean chives - Coarse salt - Minced garlic - Gochugaru - Sugar - Fish sauce - Sesame oil (optional) - Sesame seeds (optional) - Cooking gloves Kimchi Paste recipe: - 2 tablespoons minced garlic - 2 tablespoons sugar (or plum extract) - 2/3 cup gochugaru - 1/3 cup fish sauce #kimchi #easyrecipe #kimchirecipe #geotjeori #freshkimchi #gochugaru #napacabbag #koreancooking #koreanfood
