C is for caterpillar 🐛 Here is a fun sensory setup you can make for your toddlers and preschoolers to teach them all about the letter C. Our set up: 1. Rock with the letter C as a caterpillar painted on it. (I am making a letter rock for each setup so we will have the whole alphabet at the end. ) 2. Hunger caterpillar threading activity. Make your caterpillar by twisting two pipe cleaners around each other with a piece of yarn tied to the end. You will also want something at the end of the year as a stopper. Make your own or print out our food on card stock. Then cut them out and hole punch each one. Hide your food in a sensory base and then have your little one find the food as you read the book and thread it on to their caterpillar. 3. Create the letter C with things that start with C. Crayons, Chalk and Clay! 4. Create a caterpillar snack! Our plate was made from yellow bell pepper, cheese, raisins, mandarins and spinach. A fun way to help your toddlers eat healthy. 5. We use the alphabet for set curriculum and printed off a couple poems from the letter c study. Remember to have fun and let your toddler learn as they play. We read the book and talked about all the yummy food. We made caterpillars out of clay and also smashed the clay while making c sounds. Traced the c on the rock with the chalk and so much more.
