#recycle your christmas tree if you still have it in your back yard. Or go for a walk and grab a bag of rotted pine needles from the forest. (Ask owner permission. Pine needles will help increase the acidity of your soil tesulting in a lower pH. Do this each year as it is a gradual process. Blueberries require acidic soil to grow in. My garden is on limestone (very alkaline) and although i have planted my blueberries in ericaceous compost (acidic compost) the soil will gradually increase in pH again unless i keep adding rotted pine needles or conifer foliage. #growblueberries #blueberries #fruitgardening #growyourown
