I wrote this a while back when I was seriously considering quitting music, or at least posting and sharing it. I still feel all the aggravation I felt back then with the internet and whatnot. I'm tired of feeling like I have to be a marketing executive and pitch myself for anyone to ever hear my music. That's how it is nowadays I guess though. This is one of these songs that I'm going to keep and re-record. I've already started working on the second verse and the ending is going to be a bit more bright and hopeful. When I write songs a lot of the time I try to write lines that might punch you in the feelings if you can relate, But I want to try my hand at writing some more inspirational or uplifting stuff. On the subject of criticizing myself, I'm pretty happy with how this sounds and how I'm singing it, but I can't get over the way I pronounced "thinking" in this video 😅 Good thing I'm not too much of a perfectionist though. Hope you all can still enjoy it. Also if you want to help me try and title this song that would be cool.
