Part 2 in hubby’s Trinidad and Tobago cooking series! This time, he’s making stew beef with dumplings, and I’m loving every moment—especially since he’s doing the cooking (I’ll handle cleanup, no complaints here!). So far, all the recipes have been amazing, and we’re using @Graza fresh olive oil to take the flavor to the next level. #GrazaPartner #Momof9 #fyp #dinner #largefamily

People often ask, ‘You’re Indian, so why are you eating beef?’ The truth is, India’s food habits are incredibly diverse due to cultural, religious, and regional differences. In South India, including states like Kerala, beef is a common part of the diet. This is true not just for Christians and Muslims but also for many Hindus. In Kerala, for example, beef is widely consumed by Hindus, partly due to the state’s diverse cultural influences and the significant Christian and Muslim populations that coexist there. Historically, South India has had different culinary traditions compared to the North. The tropical climate and agricultural patterns of the South also contributed to the variety of diets, including the consumption of beef. In contrast, in North India, where Hinduism is more predominant, cows are considered sacred, and beef consumption is avoided. This difference has roots in religious beliefs and historical developments, making cow protection a central tenet in many Northern Hindu communities. So, while beef might not be commonly consumed across all of India, in some regions, it remains an integral part of the local cuisine, reflecting the country’s rich diversity. #momof9 #dinner #beefcurry #momlife #largefamily

Attempted to make Jollof Rice for the 1st time. I was expecting a curry-flavored rice, but it wasn’t it. The flavor profile was complex, and I really like it. I should have boiled the rice a little bit before adding the purée, but I was impatient. 😅 I used @Graza Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the process. Definitely a must-try! #grazapartner #momof9 #dinner #largefamily #jollofrice
