To some, this might look and feel like any other museum they’ve been to before. Or to others, the five rings brightly lit might just mean the largest sporting event in the world - but when I walked through the doors at the Olympic Museum in Colorado Springs for the very first time last night, it was hard to even explain the many emotions that flooded in. You see, I have always looked at those 5 rings just a little bit differently. I see so much more than just an event - I see years and years of sacrifice, hard work, and dedication. countless hours spent honing a craft and a passion in a way that so few on this earth are able to do. I see strength, greatness, hope, and honor. I see the faces of every athlete who has come before us, and every athlete who will proceed us. And it’s also a family, an unspoken bond. It’s Team USA.
