I had a biopsy on a mass in my stomach, which the doctor believes is a GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumor) - a rare type of cancer in the digestive tract. This wasn’t the news we were hoping for, but because of my genetic mutation and the location, we knew it was likely, so it wasn’t a surprise. At the very least, it’s a relief to be progressing toward answers and a treatment plan! We’ll be back to our normal content very soon, but for now, we’re taking a few days to rest. 💜
