Having a hard time finding a job? It's a strange job market right now. * We've added over 200,000 jobs recently. * Unemployment is around 4%. * Companies are hitting record numbers. * Inflation is cooling off. One reason why people are having a hard time finding work is because of the amount of uncertainty in the world right now. Companies are nervous about hiring because we don't know what's going to happen (aka recession). During the pandemic companies overhired like crazy and many of them had to conduct layoffs (looking at you big tech). There are other factors of course. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. #jobs #career #jobsearch #finance #money #personalfinance

How I became a millionaire? People usually don't think about a 9-5 job as a means of becoming a millionaire. Yet I became one BECAUSE of regular day jobs. Unfortunately, we don't see content about this on social media because it's not a way to get rich. That's why courses on dr0pshipping and other side hustles are BIG money, because they promise the get rich quick dream. As we always say on this channel: The best way to get rich, is the slow way. #finance #personalfinance #millionaire #money #moneytips

Stay at home parent salary? I used to think: "Stay at home parent? That's not a job". Then I spent time with an actual stay-at-home parent and realized, holy crap it is a ton of work! It's literally a full time job, probably 2! According to Data from sites like Salary . com, based on the number of hours and duties performed, a stay at home parent should be making around $170k/yr. Not only is it time-consuming raising a child but it's also extremely expensive. In the last 10 years alone child care costs have risen 35%, outpacing inflation. In addition, the birth rate here and in many places around the world is declining. It doesn't seem unreasonable for people to ask for a little help these days. What do you think? #finance #money #personalfinance #financetips #moneytips #stayathomemom #stayathomedad

Being Cheap is Expensive AF. You would think buying the cheapest version of everything is a good way to save money right? Nope. For the things that matter in your life, spend the money! What's the point of buying (for example) the cheapest car possible if it's going to cost you more money to maintain it? #finance #money #personalfinance #financetips #moneytips #savemoney #savingmoney

Becoming a millionaire? Growing up, my mom would always buy lottery tickets, hoping she'd win big and become a millionaire. What she didn't know was the statistics. There is only a 1 in 300 million chance of winning... She didn't understand what investing was, ironically, she thought it was gambling. Therefore she never invested in her retirement until much later in life (thanks to her kids 😉). Trying to get rich quickly is tempting (lottery, gambling, speculative crypto, etc), but the best way is the slow way. * Spending less than you make. * Investing regularly within tax-advantaged accounts like a Roth IRA (TFSA if you're in Canada). * Within these accounts, low cost funds (ETFs or mutual funds). * Increasing your income (promotions, job hopping, learning new skills, side hustles, etc). TLDR: Don't get your hopes up. The lottery is a waste of time. #finance #money #financetips #moneytips #personalfinance #investing #lottery
