Only for the Week by Natasha Bishop was one of the Black romance novels that transformed my relationship with reading last year. It came highly recommended by my soon-to-be #BlackBookTok mutuals and faves at the time. I don’t think I would’ve discovered it and dozens of other Black Indie authors and books otherwise. Black romance books like Natasha’s are so dear to me, because Black women get the happy ever after we’re told we don’t deserve each and every time. Not too much on Natasha, Janelle and Rome ever.
