How many @Taylor Swift things did you spot?! We’re one step closer to going home!!! She has her big facial reconstruction surgery on Thursday, so we’ll be back in the PICU for observation for maybe a day. But after that we’ll hopefully be home a week or so affer! 🤞🏻 @Taylor Nation

Surgery #5 was Friday and things went great. There are still some concerns, such as the loss of blood circulation to her toes as you can see in this video. Believe it or not they have drastically improved! As you continue to pray for our sweet girl, please pray for her feet specifically, as well as her facial reconstruction surgery which will take place late next week. Every morning I wake up hoping this was all just a terrible nightmare, but I’m grateful for how much she has healed. Last week was incredibly scary. We still have a long road ahead of us. They had to remove a large portion of her face around her right eye and temple due to the bacteria. Seeing my child’s skull bone was not something I ever thought I’d witness. To be honest, I’ve become rather numb to it now. It may take quite a few procedures until she starts looking like herself again, and we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. We’re just so grateful she’s still here right now. Thank you all again for the love and support. I made Kennedy an Amazon Wish List today and I am completely blown away by everyone’s generosity. I may be bias, but this girl deserves the world and then some after what she’s gone through. I’ve been reading all your comments, and they’ve meant so much to my husband and I. ♥️
