CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. — Search efforts for missing student Riley Strain are underway at the Cheatham Dam. The Cheatham County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) confirms a boat was on the water Tuesday for the missing 22-year-old man. On Wednesday, the sheriff's office says teams are "burping" the river—a basic shutdown of the waterway which allows anything near the river to float to the top. Efforts to find the missing University of Missouri student are being bolstered with help from the United Cajun Navy. In a news conference with Strain’s parents Tuesday, UCN organizers said they’d be beefing up waterway searches this week. Strain went missing on Friday, March 8 after leaving Luke Bryan's lower Broadway bar. Several videos have surfaced in the past 12 days, retracing the young man's path while his whereabouts remain unknown.
