your perception is not *always* reality and it’s important not to project our potentially limited, flawed, fragile or insecure concepts onto others. people often try to discredit me because they think I belong in a singular box. they don’t understand that a woman can be many things all at once. yes, I am beautiful, and intelligent, and loving, and kind, and funny and many things that aren’t manufactured, fake or virtues I use strategically to benefit myself. I do everything from my heart and I also protect my heart at all costs. I am a WOMAN. PHENOMENALLY, phenomenal woman THAT’S ME. Maya Angelou taught me at 9 years old. no one in this world will ever make me hate myself. no one will ever make me dim my light, censor or filter my brilliance. I love being a Woman and that is my Power. if I make you uncomfortable, stop that because I love you and I promise if you move past ego and saw me for me and the experience that I am, I could be a blessing to you. I’m a first generation eldest daughter to a war refugee and a black teen mom. I’m raw, I’m true to this, I’m amazing and strong because I have to be.
