Halawat Jibin recipe: One of my favourite syrian desserts 🤍🌷 SYRUP: 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar 1 cup water A squeeze of lemon juice (about 1/2 teaspoon) 3/4 teaspoon orange blossom water Or 3/4 teaspoon rose water FOR THE SWEET CHEESE ROLLS DOUGH: 1 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup sugar 1 cup (160g) fine semolina- I used coarse semolina 3x 125g mozzarella cheese balls, shredded* 3 tablespoon rose water or 3 tablespoon orange blossom water FILLING: Ashta if you can get your hands on it.
