The answer so many are looking for. Seek God’s character. Do not rely on your own interpretation of scripture. That was my downfall. I had to seek extremely knowledgeable biblical scholars who have spent their lives, studying scripture, especially the old testament. I had absolutely no idea what some of that scripture meant I always had a view of vengeful, punishing God. Boy was I so wrong!
