A girdle is the bone or bones that connect the appendicular skeleton to the axial skeleton. ✅ The pelvic girdle has only 1 bone: the os coxa bone (hip bone). The femur (lower limb bone) articulates with the acetabulum of the os coxa. ✅ The pectoral girdle has 2 bones: the clavicle (collarbone) and the scapula (shoulder blade). However, out of the two, just the scapula articulates with the humerus.
