Heat olive oil in pan and add in onions, carrots, garlic, and potatoes 2. Sauté for about 5 minutes and add in WASHED lentils 3. Sauté for about 10 minutes (use this time to mix maagi cubes with 2 cups hot water) 4. Add in the 2 cups of water you mixed with the maagi cubes along with another 2 cups of water 5. Season with black pepper, turmeric, cumin, and salt 6. Once soup starts to boil, reduce temperature to low and cover 7. Let soup sit for about 30 minutes, or until the lentils and potatoes and softened, then add in the last 2 cups of water, blend with immersion blender until you get your desired consistency
