❤️⚠️TW : On March 8th, International Women’s Day, my journey took an unexpected turn. As I prepared for my third pregnancy appointment, filled with anticipation and hope, little did I know the news that awaited me. Before our family walked. I decided to stretch last minute…As we planned to embark on a 3.5-mile walk. I also prayed and meditated. With optimism in my heart, I looked forward to sharing the news we had held onto since the beginning of Black History Month. Alongside my partner and our Dreamy, we eagerly anticipated checking on our little one.As the ultrasound began, a knot formed in my stomach. The size of the fetus/sac didn’t align with my expected weeks, a realization that hit me. Our amazing ultrasound tech, confirmed the news of our loss. I swallowed the news like a huge Dry pill, like the strong one should 🙄 . I was Presented with three options by the Nurse/Midwife, I chose to embrace the natural route, allowing time for my next cycle to come. With heavy hearts, we told out parents and spent the day as a family, exploring and processing the unexpected turn of events. Our walk extended to 7.5 miles, from Dunkin , to a park, the museum , to back home. Each step a metaphor for the journey ahead. In the days that followed, I fought with the mix of emotions having to experience miss carrying. Yet, amidst the sorrow, I found solace in the knowledge that life is full of twists and turns. Despite our best efforts to plan plan plan, God ultimately determines our path. Recovery has been a journey, both mentally and physically, but through it all, I’ve learned the importance of embracing life’s curveballs. To anyone facing their own challenges, remember to keep moving forward with confidence. Your journey may not always be smooth sailing, but it’s uniquely yours.
