Tuesdays nights in @Shane Bruce class at @PLAYGROUND LA are making me real happy these days 🥹 I’ve shared bits and pieces of my shuffle dance rut. For the last year I’ve been feeling really apathetic towards dance which is kinda crazy and ironic since so much of my content is dance. It’s so hard to explain but thankful for my talks in the car with @erikhuofficial who GETS it 🙏🏽 But honestly whenever I get to a dance class, I never regret it. I always look at him and am like “im SO glad we came” lol literally everytime in the middle of class… my heart just feels full. Over the last year I’ve found excuses not to make it to classes. Not to collab with other dancers. Not to dance or sesh in general. But what I’ve learned over the years is movement creates momentum and momentum breeds motivation. Sometimes it’s about getting ourselves into motion regardless of how we feel. I know this sounds kinda insignificant when it comes to something like dance, but you can relate this concept to your career, your goals, or those projects that’s been sitting on the back burner for years. Doing SOMETHING is going to be your answer. Getting in ruts is just LIFE LIFING. But staying in a rut is a choice.
