This month marks 5 YEARS since my breast explant surgery! I will never forget the day I came home from the doctor hysterically crying because I was not he refused to believe that I was SICK! I was told that I wasn’t in actual pain but had postpartum depression and needed an antidepressant. I was shocked. I knew I was sick. I knew something was wrong with my body and I knew it was NOT postpartum depression. I was not only unheard, I was gaslight and made to feel crazy. Keep in mind my child was almost 2 at the time of my “diagnosis”. I was well out of the window to even be considered for that and when I explained that to him, he once again ignored me. By the grace of God, the night of my appointment, I came across a video on Breast Implant Illness and knew immediately that’s what I had! I made an appointment at my plastic surgeons office and 6 weeks later had my implants removed. I woke up feeling like a new woman. My right silicone implant had ruptured and was making me sick. All of those symptoms: the brain fog, rashes, vomiting, loss of strength/function in my hands, hair loss, yellowed eyes, joint pain, body aches, shooting pains, inflammation, diarrhea ALL vanished! Most of them were instant. Don’t ever let anyone tell you about your own body. You know you best! If you have breast implants and are feeling unwell, please look into breast implant illness.
