Things to do ⭐️ Los Leones Canyon ⛰️ Los Angeles, CA 📍 This trail is a decent hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. On all trails it gives you a portion of the trail, but you can continue further along to the Parker Mesa Overlook. The overlook gives you amazing views of LA and the ocean 🌊 I did this trail solo and it took me around 5 hours to complete with a break for the views. I thought I was halfway when I reached a bench… but once you hit the first bench it goes into a steep incline up the mountains. There is a bathroom located near the top of the mountain. That’s when you know you’re getting close to the Parker Mesa Overlook. You will find a few other hikers along the trail. It was not busy when I went. Parking is easy, there is a lot where you can park for free or you can find parking on the side of the street next to the church. I highly recommended you bring water and a snack if you decide to do this trail. After hiking, you can make your way to the beach to relax and enjoy the rest of your day. Things to do ⭐️ Rillito River Park 📍 Tucson, AZ When I arrived in Tucson, I was craving a good skate session. I looked online for places to cruise and I found out that Tucson has a 131 mile bike trail that loops around the whole city! At first I was in disbelief, this is a real thing? I never seen a city implement a system like this. Trails like this can do wonders for one’s mental health. This trail provides stunning views of the Arizona terrain and the Rillito River Park Trail is a great entry point for the loop. I talked to a few locals on the trail and most seemed happy and in good spirits. Except for the people that parked next to me, I dunno maybe they had the wrong cereal or something. This trail is perfect for runners, skaters, and bikers. At least this portion of the trail I explored. The pavement was decent for my 78a wheels and I was able to dance my heart away. Be mindful if you’re on a board, you can lose it to the gorgeous river that slips right in the middle of the pathway.
