Day 3️⃣ India Vlog 🇮🇳 This was my first full day in the beautiful Mangalore (shout out all everyone who DM'd me saying it was your hometown!) 🫶🏽 Did you know that 100% off the money you spend on a @maccosmetics Viva Glam lipstick (my favourite shade is Planet) goes to charity?! YES, every single penny of it! And Plastics For Change is one of the charities they work with. So we had a briefing this morning of what we were doing that day and we did a beautiful meditation to start the day 🧘🏽♀️ I had the pleasure of meeting the incredible Poornima who owns her own scrap shop where she works with local waste management. She weighs and buys all the scrap from them, organises it into categories and sells all of the plastic bottles to Plastics For Change. They have worked with her over the last 8 months and she has increased her income by over 150%. They champion women entrepreneurs, give fair pay, helped all their staff with government ID, bank accounts and so much more. Poornima used to work as a cigarette roller. But when she got married her husband wanted her to find another job that didn't affect her health. So this is where she started initially started picking up trash from the local town but then started to work with Plastics For Change where she now is a boss lady hers or by owning her own business and scrap shop. Her 2 kids are so incredible proud of her and they too are so inspired by her to go well at school and in life. It's amazing how buying a MAC Viva Glam lipstick can help change the life of so many people over the world like Poornima. And Plastics For Change are going above and beyond to not only help the environment but also all of their staff in Mangalore. It was such a heart warming experience. I also got to meet the beautiful Bhumi Pednekar who is the first ever Indian #MACVivaGlam ambassador 💄🙌🏽 What an incredible way to end day 3 here in India 🥹🫶🏽 #india #vlog #beauty
