Coachella is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary, however the last few years have marked something of a slump for the long running festival. A decade ago, tickets sold out in less than an hour. In 2022, it took 4 hours and last year, tickets were still available a month after going on sale. This year, tickets were reselling for only $25 USD more than the original purchase price. As for what’s causing the decline, online discourse points to a scattered artist roster, where some say the line up lacks a sense of cohesion.
