the gifts of sobriety are SO real. Grateful for 7 years sober, feeling my emotions, learning to care for others, and growing my heart 10X bigger for animals. My heart shattered into a million pieces upon quite literally *finding* an abandoned dog. You hear about it, but that's just not something you prepare for or anticipate. I'm grateful Vienna was tied to the sign in front of my parking spot. I'm grateful I only volunteered for one hour, on this super hot day. I'm grateful the @nashvillehumane team was already outside and heard me shout for help. I'm grateful for the little cans of sausages that served as the bridge for his trust. Vienna is going to thrive in her new forever home. Sobriety gave me this experience. It's absolutely uncanny when you think about it.
