When I say didn’t post, I mean didn’t post any reels or anything videos or photos on my main pages on all three platforms I use. I did post IG stories but that was it and they don’t have the same reach at all in comparison, atleast for my account! I will say having been ultra consistent for so long was important as your past videos can still work for you and reach the right people. So anyone with the same fear as me that a longer break from posting on social media will somehow ruin everything I just want to let you know it doesn’t! Haha it sounds so weird typing it out but I know there are others out there than may have the same irrational fear and it’s something that is created from all the social media gurus constantly telling us we need to be consistent else the algorithm with banish us with its mystic powers 🔮 I’ve also heard a lot of creators complain about the mechanistic approach of posting constantly because yes value will go down with having to churn out material without having anything of novelty or real substance or value to share. Because I think many are also getting tired of gimmicky entertainment videos, sure they may reach a lot of people but do they really provide anything for you as the creator let alone the viewer? So taking a break to fill back into yourself I think is important for the wellspring of creativity within you. And without posting as much I found I was on social media way less which allowed me to do so much more for my own mind body and soul! I could have kept going with not posting but there the aspect of community on here that I do love to connect with, but with an increased workload (which I am working on balancing out even still) it’s hard for me because I cannot respond to everyone and that does make me sad 😔 I try my best and hope to bring something of value to you with each post!
