There’s much to unpack about my experience during the journey of Project 1000. One of the photos I felt compelled to document captured a moment that we city dwellers rarely have the time or opportunity to imagine. Every morning, despite being awake for over six hours, with Nat nearly completing her first marathon of the day, the need to get everyone a well-deserved breakfast never once slipped from my mind. In these moments, I explored areas I never would have imagined visiting, experiencing briefly how simple life can be—or rather, how it should be.
