These BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS Hummingbird feeders attract hummingbirds so fast that i wasnt finished hanging them up before one was anxiously waiting to come feed. Hummingbirds are attracted to bright and beautiful colors, and find their way to feeders just like these!! Out of these 3 feeders, the red needs refilled the most, then the blue, and last the tiffany blue. Their favorite, hands down, is RED. My nectar mix has defender in it so that it is protected from spoiling while in the heat. When i make my own nectar, i use 1 1:4 sugar:water and i add defender. Or i buy powder that has defender already in it. SO IMPORTANT clean feeders regularly. I disinfect my feeders with every refill and never leave nectar out in a feeder longer than 24-48 hours unless it has defender in it. Time in which it needs changed depwnds on weather variables.
