I can’t count how many times l’ve struggled with overeating. I would tell myself I’ll restart tomorrow or on Monday, but always found an excuse to overeat again. Let’s focus on what God says about overeating “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2 “All things are lawful, but not all things are helpful.” 1 Corinthians 10:23 “Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31 “Keep yourselves from idols.” 1 John 5:21 Based on scripture, we should take caution when it comes to overeating and bingeing. We should be aware of our food consumption Food, particularly sugar, can be so addictive and we can end up unintentionally placing it above our relationship with God. Here are a few things that help me stay in check with food; 😊Food boundaries- 3 deliciously abundant meals of real food everyday 📖Prioritize Bible & prayer time. 🧐Be mindful. Sheet pan Turkey Meatloaf and Roasted Vegetables Ingredients Meatloaf 1 pound (16 oz.) 93% ground turkey 4 oz. cauliflower rice 6 Tbs no sugar added ketchup (divided) 1/3 c. minced onion 1 large egg 1/2 tsp thyme 1 tsp salt 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (divided) Vegetables 16 oz. broccoli (cut into florets) and 16 oz. carrots 3 Tbs olive oil 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 2 tsp garlic powder Directions 1. Preheat oven to 425°F. 2. In a large bowl, toss vegetables with oil and seasonings. Spread out on a large sheet pan in a single layer on one side of the pan. 3. In a medium bowl combine turkey, cauliflower rice, 4 Tbs ketchup, onion, egg, thyme, salt, and 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. 4. Divide turkey mixture into 3 equal portions on other side of sheet pan 5. In a small bowl mix remaining 2 Tbs ketchup and 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce and brush onto 3 loaves. 6. Bake 30 minutes until meat is cooked and vegetables are slightly charred. 7. When cooled, put one loaf and 1/3 of the vegetables in each food storage container. 8. Enjoy one now and put one in refrigerator and one in the freezer for other nights. Servings Each serving = 1 Protein, 10 oz. Air Fried Green Beans Fresh green beans Your favorite heart healthy oil (I used avocado oil) Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder Parmesan Cheese Place green beans on a baking sheet Add a bit of the oil and spices Mix up well Air fry at 400° for 5 minutes Stir green beans and add parmesan cheese Air fry for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until crispy.
