Wash some diapers with me 🤗 Reposting because tiktok added a sound to my original post 🫠 Finally got a good wash routine down and I’ve implemented a lot of tips from you guys! I’ve started rinsing my diapers daily or at least before they’ve been sitting for 3 days to prevent the ammonia smell from urine and I’ve had no issues with any nasty smells since which I’m loving. I wash once a week, my inserts on a hot soak cycle with 2 extra rinses. I wash the covers in a warm soak cycle with 2 extra rinses. I use tide free & gentle, arm & hammer laundry booster and borax. This combination leaves my diapers smelling like nothing lol which is what I’m aiming for because scents on private areas is a no no. We love a balanced ph and no diaper rashes ok 👌🏽 I stuff my diapers the same day and it usually only takes about 30 minutes tops. I’ve started implementing liners now that I have two under two to make things easier on me and I’m kinda mad I didn’t use them earlier 😂 I think I’ve got my cloth game on lock 8 months in 🤭 Also enjoy what I hear on a daily, welcome to my life, babies cry 😂 #thetfamm #clothdiapers #clothnappies #clothdiapering #clothdiaperingmom

If the thought of cleaning poop freaks you the freak out… try our disposable bamboo connivence liners. Experience convenient cloth diapering with our lightweight, disposable bamboo diaper liners. Designed to catch solid waste, they make diaper changes and clean-up easier. With a roll of 100 liners, you'll always have some on hand. Made from 100% biodegradable bamboo, our unscented liners are ideal for on-the-go families. To use a disposable bamboo cloth diaper liner, follow these steps: - Prepare the diaper. Lay the disposable diaper liner inside a clean and dry reusable cloth diaper. Ensure that the diaper is properly adjusted and ready for wear. - Place the liner. Tear off a single sheet of the disposable bamboo liner and place it inside the diaper. Be sure to cover the entire area where your baby's bottom will be. - Use the diaper. Put the diaper on your baby as you normally would, ensuring a snug and comfortable fit. - Dispose of solids. After a single use, remove the diaper from your baby. Hold the liner over the toilet and gently knock off any solid waste into the toilet. This step helps to minimize mess and makes it easier to clean the diaper later. - Discard the liner. Once you have removed the solids, discard the used liner into the trash. Do not flush the liner down the toilet, as it may cause clogs or damage to the plumbing system Disposable bamboo cloth diaper liners are designed for single use only and should not be flushed down the toilet. They are meant to make cleaning cloth diapers easier by catching solid waste, which can be disposed of separately. #clothdiapering #sustainableswaps #reusables #reusableswaps #clothiscool #makeclothmainstream #reusereducerecycle #clothdiaper #musthavebabyproducts #diaperbagessentials #clothdiaperwashroutine #clothdiapercleaning #ecoparenting #newmom #newdad #diapering #blowout #newbaby #babyonboard #pregnant #expecting2023 #expecting2024

The most common reason that people stop using cloth diapers is that they are experiencing frequent leaks caused by inefficient absorbency styles. Stop buying the microfiber blend inserts and invest in products that will work harder for you longer and actually set you up for success. Look for inserts and absorbency styles with high percentages of bamboo, cotton and hemp. If you’re on a budget, 100% cotton receiving blankets and kitchen towels make great absorbency for cloth diapers. Replying to @krystalellis947 Cloth diapers have been proven safe and effective through many generations. Cotton cleans very easily in the wash machine. 🧼 And when you're saving money with cloth diapers, you don't have to worry about the cost of changing diapers frequently! Cloth or disposable, babies should be changed every 2-3 hours as recommended by the AAP to prevent rashes, irritation, and infections. 🤒 Disposable diapers are relatively new! Replying to @Heather InProgress W Have you ever had bugs in your diaper laundry? First, Bugs happen. Take a deep breath and don't freak out. Now that you've had a second, let's get rid of maggots on cloth diapers. Bugs are a natural part of our everyday life. They're the reason we have beautiful flowers, but they're also responsible for breaking down waste and turning it back into the soil that those beautiful flowers to grow and thrive in. We need them—outside of our homes. Here's how to prevent bugs like flies, spiders and caterpillars from hanging out on and around your cloth diapers. Prevention: Bugs love organic waste. And diapers are often full of organic waste. So how to do we keep the bugs away from our reusable cloth diapers? Here are some tips and tricks for maintaining a bug free cloth diapering routine. Spray or plop all solid waste diapers immediately after removing from baby. If you are not able to spray diapers immediately, consider utilizing disposable bamboo liners as they can be easily tossed in a trash can during diaper changes. Do not store solid waste diapers in the open air without first removing the poop. Consider storing all dirty cloth diapers in zippered wet bags or a similar sealed container until you are able to remove the solid waste. After removing the solid waste, allow all cloth diapers to air dry before storing dirty cloth diapers between wash days. If you notice more flies in your home than usual, it's a good idea to wash your cloth diapers as a precautionary step. Washing more often than usual during hot summer days can help prevent flies from laying eggs in your diaper laundry. Ensure that all windows and doors have bug screens to prevent critters from finding their way into your home—especially in the summer time. Additionally, you might consider adding fly or insect traps to your home to further mitigate insect inhabitants. #clothdiapering #bugs #laundry #flies #clothdiaperlaundry #washingclothdiapers #diapering #reusablediapers #makeclothmainstream #normalizeclothdiapers #reusables #sustainableswaps

Replying to @HannahE333 The most confusing part of getting started with cloth diapering, is determining a wash routine that works for you. You'll find a plethora of information out there on what to do and what not to do with your diapers—and it can be hard to determine what's good advice, and what's just not. At Kinder Cloth, we believe that your wash routine works best, when it works for you. The number of days you go between washes and what setting you set your machine to is not more important than your mental health. Cloth diapering should not feel like a burden. If you and your baby are happy and healthy, we can figure out the rest together. Below is a guide for getting started with finding your ideal wash routine. 1. Prewash. A prewash is essential. This first wash removes any debris and soil so that your main wash can clean your diapers properly. Our recommendation is to start with a smaller amount of detergent and run your normal cycle with cold or warm water. 2. Main Wash Every machine is different, but you'll want to choose a setting that can handle heavy soil and warm/hot water. (less than 115 degrees). This is the cycle where you may feel compelled to toss in a bunch of detergent, but a normal amount for heavy soil will do the job! (Again this is a great place to refer to the recommended detergent amount on your detergent packaging.) 3. Optional Extra Rinse Some cloth families like to run and extra rinse for peace of mind. This can help if you've experienced detergent build up in the past. 4. Line Dry or Tumble Dry on Low If you have the time and space to air dry, this is always preferred. But a tumble on low with wool dryer balls works too! Do not use dryer sheets. #clothdiapering #clothdiaperwashday #clothdiaperwashroutine #dirtylaundry #washinglaundry #reusablediapers #laundry #maytag #washingmachine #babyproducts #momhack

While modern cloth diapers can be effectively cleaned in your standard home washing machine, solid poop or stool must be removed before placing soiled diapers into the washing machine. Here are some tips and tricks for successful poop removal: There are several different methods for removing solid waste from modern cloth diapers before placing them into the washing machine. Poop removal methods include the cloth diaper sprayer, plop method, dunk and swish, disposable diaper liners and even the poop spatula. However, exclusively breastfed or chestfed baby poop is water-soluble and can go into the washing machine without scraping or dunking. Common methods for removing solid waste from cloth diapers: Diaper Sprayer Method A diaper sprayer, sometimes referred to as a handheld bidet, is a tool used in cloth diapering to remove solid waste from diapers before washing. It is typically a toilet attachment that uses a high-pressure spray of water to wash solid messes out of diapers and into the toilet. This tool helps in easily cleaning solid waste from diapers, eliminating the need for soaking, or swishing a dirty diaper around in the toilet. The diaper sprayer provides a powerful clean due to its water pressure, similar to a handheld bidet sprayer. It attaches to the back of the toilet so that solids can be sprayed off directly into the toilet, making modern cloth diapering more convenient. Dunk, and Swish This method involves placing the soiled diaper in the toilet bowl and swishing it vigorously to remove the bulk of the poop. It's acceptable if a little bit of stool is left after rinsing the diaper. Some cloth diaper parents fold the diaper in half with the dirty part facing out and then rinse the dirty part of the diaper. This method can be especially effective when combined with a bucket near the toilet to hold the rinsed diaper. You may also have success flushing the toilet while holding tightly to the soiled diaper. The suction from the flush can aid in removal of the solid poop. Plop Some solid poops can be removed by simply shaking or plopping the diaper over the toilet. This method works best for certain textures of poop that can easily fall off into the toilet. After removing the cloth diapers, gently shake until the solid waste falls off into the toilet. If done correctly, most of the solid material should come off, requiring no additional cleaning. Note that not every family will be lucky enough to experience plopable poops. Poop Spatula A poop spatula is a tool used in cloth diapering to scrape off solid waste from the cloth diapers into the toilet before washing. It is a dedicated spatula kept in the bathroom used to remove solid waste without the need for direct hand contact. The spatula is used to pry or scrape the solids off the diaper and into the toilet, making the cleaning process more convenient. Disposable Diaper Liner Disposable diaper liners are a convenience tool used to catch solids inside of cloth diapers, in an effort to make clean up faster and more convenient. After a single use, remove the soiled diaper liner from the diaper. Hold the liner over the toilet and gently knock off any solid waste into the toilet. This step helps to minimize mess and makes it easier to clean the reusable diaper later. Breastfed Baby Poop Breastfed baby poop is water-soluble and can go into the washing machine without scraping or dunking. Once babies start solids, any remaining solid waste should be removed before laundering. #clothdiapering #clothdiapers #reusables #sustainableswaps #clothiscool #makelaundrynotlandfill #laundrynotlandfill #poop #babypoop #blowout #diapering #babyhack #momhack #parentingmusthave #ecoparenting #sustainablefinds #gogreen #reusablediapers #toddlermusthave #washingclothdiapers #laundrytok #chestfed #breastfed #nursing #breastfeeding

When you're determined to use only cloth diapers and your partner didn't expect the transition to go so quickly. 🤣 If you want to cloth diaper full time, you don't have to have disposable diapers on hand. I think it's common for family members to suggest having them "just in case" but in my experience it can be a little bit of a self sabotage to your goals. because if diaper laundry is going a little slow it is easy to just grab a disposable. Which is okay! But if it interferes with your personal goals then keeping them in your house could be counterproductive. Having a safety net can sometimes hinder you, if you know you can fall back on disposables you will be more likely to do so. If I don't have disposables at home, I can't fail because my babies need the cloth diapers. This is just my personal experience. If it makes you more comfortable to have some on deck then that's okay too. The best part about this whole thing is you can do whatever works for you and your household. #ClothDiapering #ClothDiapers #LowToxLife #SlowLiving #ReusableDiapers

Why is it normal for everyone’s poop to be flushed down the toilet, except our babies and young toddlers? Normalize cloth diapering and tossing all of the solids into the toilet rather than the landfill. Did you know that we **think** that disposable diapers might take 500 years to decompose in a landfill setting. FIVE HUNDRED YEARS. Toss the poos in the potty instead. #clothdiapering #normalizethis #clothiscool #makelaundrynotlandfill #baby #newmom #newdad #parenthood #isthisgross #isthisweird #momthings #momhack #earthfriendly #toilethack #laundrynotlandfill #reusableproducts #reusablediapers

Quill pakai clodi sobi newborn micro ini sejak usia beberapa hari Quill baru lahir. Sobi newborn micro ini keliatan pas & nyaman kalau dipakai, apalagi untuk sehari-sahari. Bahan luaran outernya seperti buludru sehingga lumayan hangat & ga berisik kresek-kresek gitu. Yang aku seneng, waktu Quill baru umur beberapa hari, insert terpisahnya ga aku pakai, jadi aku cuma pakai insert bawaannya aja karena bayi baru banget lahir sering banget ganti popok kan 😌 Recommended banget deh buat newborn ! 🤎🫶🏻 Video by : @masayumps #clothdiaper #clothdiapers #clothdiapering #clothdiaperingmama #clodi #clodisobi #sobi #sobidiaper #clodinewborn #newborn #popok #popokbayi #popoknewborn #popokcuciulang #popokkain #popokkainmodern #popokkainbayi #sobinewbornmicro #sobitinynewborn #sobinewborn #motherhood 1 minggu

Replying to @Cenzi Glanzer Choosing the right cloth diaper safe diaper cream is important in order to maintain the effectiveness of the reusable diapers. Cloth diaper safe diaper cream does not contain zinc oxide or petroleum. Avoiding these ingredients is essential to prevent staining and absorbency issues in your modern reusable diapers. Why Petroleum-Based Diaper Creams Are Not Cloth Diaper Safe Petroleum-based diaper creams can lead to absorbency issues and repelling when used on textiles. Synthetic fibers, such as microfiber, are particularly prone to build up based absorbency issues. Petroleum is oil based and can cause build-up that affect the diapers' ability to absorb moisture. However, Petroleum Based diaper creams can be used with natural fibers like cotton, bamboo, and hemp, as they will wash out in a good wash routine that uses hot water. However, at Kinder, we recommend choosing one of the petroleum free options listed above to avoid any preventable diaper cream build up in your cloth diapers. Using a Disposable Diaper Liner as a Barrier To prevent the transfer of diaper cream onto the cloth diaper, some families like to use disposable or reusable diaper liners. Liners can be used as a barrier between the diaper and the ointment. This can help minimize the risk of staining from Zinc Oxide as well as reduce the likelihood of the cream affecting the absorbency of the diaper. When selecting a diaper cream for cloth diapers, it's important to opt for products that do not contain zinc oxide or petroleum to prevent staining and absorbency issues. By choosing cloth diaper safe creams and using a disposable or reusable liner as a barrier, parents can ensure the longevity and effectiveness of their cloth diapering routine. #diaperrash #diapercream #clothdiapersafe #clothdiapering #clothdiapermama #makeclothmainstream #earthmama #babyproducts

Cloth diapers come in various types, but today, we’re going to introduce you to the classic go-to: pocket cloth diapers. 🧡 These cloth diapers are composed of two essential components: the outer shell and the absorbent soaker. No more fussing about wet bottoms! 🥰 The real hero of the cloth diapering world is the absorbent soaker. This is customizable depending on what you need. This soft, cozy layer is the secret to keeping your little one happy and dry. ✨ Another customizable aspect of cloth diapers are the snap configuration. You can adjust it to fit your baby from newborn until toddler stage. Amazing right? ✨ However, there’s more to the cloth diaper story, my friends! Kinder Cloth Diaper Co. large hanging wet bags measure 15.5 inches by 27 inches and feature two water resistant lined zipper pockets perfect for storing dirty diapers or laundry between wash days. Our large wet bags feature two nylon woven handles perfect for hanging and carrying. Large hanging wet bags are ideal for families with small spaces or who prefer not to use a traditional diaper pail set up. Hanging wet bags can be used on the back of door knobs or in hooks in closets. All Kinder water resistant products are machine washable and dryer safe on low or no heat. You can toss your wet bag into the wash with your diapers on wash day. We recommend having at least two large wet bags so that you can rotate between wash days. Fully saturated, wet items should be wrung out or allowed time to partially air dry before placing into wet bags as excess water may cause the material to leak. TPU is water resistant, not water proof. #ttshop #laundrybag #laundryday #clothdiapering #travelhack #clothdiapertips

This is Day 8 of our 30-day cloth diapering 101 and for sure, after day 30, kayang kaya mo na i cloth diaper si baby. Today, let’s talk about cloth diaper essentials for newborn. If I could start my newborn stash all over again, ito ang mga must have items: Una ay cover type cloth diapers katulad nito. This is perfect for newborn stage because these can be reused multiple times at alam naman natin kung gano kadalas mag pee and poo ang newborns diba? Second ay trim and soft inserts like this booster, half flats and stay-dry bifolds. These soakers are age-appropriate kasi di sila bulky but still absorbent enough for baby’s output kaya makakasiguro ka na comfy si baby. If you want to fold flats or lampin over kay baby, a safer alternative is this Snappi. During changing time, reusable wipes like this are good to have, they don’t have chemicals and are soft and gentle on baby’s skin. Plus, tipid pa! An absorbent but water-resistant changing mat that is trim enough to bring anywhere is good to have especially if nasa labas kayo ni baby. Pwede rin ito for tummy time. Lastly, optional but good to have a wetbag like this (Everyday Bag) to store or carry all your newborn essentials. Did I miss anything? Who else notices when efforts are made to reduce plastic use? I love seeing natural material in place of plastic! This is a Merino wool cover from a brand called Flappy Nappies, who creates products geared towards elimination communication. The belt has snaps which attaches the body of the diaper. When your baby gives a cue that they're going to pee or poo, you can easily snap the front of the diaper off, which gets it out of the way so that baby can use a potty. When you're practicing EC, it can be very helpful to have quicker access than a traditional cloth diaper would allow. My "baby" is too old for EC, he's certainly in the potty learning age range now. But I got this so that I can demonstrate how it works, and so that I can speak on the size range. He is 25lbs and I tried it on over an All-in-one style diaper, there is still room to grow.. plus these are meant to be used with a snap in insert so it would have even more room to grow. The advertised age range for this size is 6-24 months and has a 15-30lbs weight range. If you're thinking "wow that's small!" don't worry! EC is for infants. If your baby outgrows these but has been practicing elimination communication, they're probably ready to learn to use the toilet. EC is when the caregiver reads the cues, but eventually it shifts to the toddler reading their own cues and that's when training pants and underwear take over! 🥹 #EliminationCommunication #FlappyNappies #ClothDiapering #LowToxLife

Replying to @lilhippiemomma02Why would someone choose a flat cloth diaper over other styles? Flats bring a lot to the table. While they aren't the perfect solution for everyone, they prevent a lot of problems. Yes, you have to fold them into a pad or a diaper shape, but they can save headaches. A simpler, easier wash routine is worth the trade off folding for many! #MakeFlatsMainstream #ClothDiapering #LowWasteLife

Most of the time, cloth diapers are just a choice. But sometimes, it’s a coping mechanism. When we became a parent, lots of things changed. And it’s not always as easy for everyone.
