October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month and Down Syndrome Awareness Month! ⁠ ⁠ People with developmental disabilities face a high unemployment rate. When we launched our Path to Independence program at Mychal’s Learning Place, we faced challenges finding employment for our participants, which inspired us to create our first social enterprise: Mychal’s Bakery.
