@SSR Performance GT4 RS upgrade fixes what I disliked about the stock car: compromised front end grip due to MacPherson front and rear suspension. Especially when you know how a 992 double wishbone front suspension feels like. Own SSR developed V4 suspension, completely redesigned front for extra downforce on the front, +90% downforce wing on the rear and brake upgrade make for a very capable car with a working front end... as you can see! I crashed the GR86🤦🏻‍♂️ The car just understeered straight and that's it. Initially, I thought there was coolant on the track as the ABS engaged under braking and there was no tyre squeal as we slid. ABS never goes on there, in fact, we did 2 laps prior and it did not engage there at higher speeds with no car in front of us. HOWEVER, after watching the footage back, you can hear a very unusual clunk before I lose control. Something must have snapped. I hope we can find out if that's the case, since the car had an impact too. Whatever it was, who cares, the most important thing we're alright and the car can be rebuilt. A near-death experience in the 992 GT3 MR😱😅🤯 Thomas Preining was kind enough to take me for a lap in the GT3 MR on the Manthey-Racing track day. The "Porsche Eater" corner almost got us, like it did last year in the GT2 RS MR with BTGAlex 🥲 Anyway, after experiencing the GT3 MR and the GT3 RS, what can I say? Unless you already have an RS, you probably won't get one in the near future. The GT3 MR is a perfect alternative if you want a new track car. It's actually even "faster" on slow sections due to the Manthey-Racing suspension. The RS stands out on high-speed corners due to silly downforce. But be honest with yourself: are you actually going to try to do 240 through Schwedenkreuz every time? Which Keving Estre by the way did with the GT3 MR, but he's an alien 👽 and we should keep it real. WE SHOULD ALSO AVOID THE GRASS. INSANE CHEAT CODE!🤯 This is a street-legal Porsche GT3 Cup car. It started its life as "just" a 992 GT3, but then received all the aero, suspension and brakes from the GT3 Cup. While still maintaining the stock interior with satnav, aircon and... the frunk! People that watch my vids regularly know that I do around 190 km/h through SX to be on the safe side. It felt like I was standing still on the first lap. Second lap: 213 km/h V-min and it still felt slow. We didn't go for third one because the car was running GP setup (it was there for GP-track track day), it was "just" on Cup 2's (not the R's) and there was way too much traffic. The GP setup (and my overconfidence) became apparent in Pflanzgarten 2 later and it bottomed out on landing. Sketchy moment, but a good catch showing the controllability of the car. I almost crashed a Golf 8 GTI into a minivan🥲 Driving Jordan's Golf 8 GTI when I see this van with his indicator to the right. In track language this means: I will stay right, you may pass on the left. To be fair thanking about it now, his indicator probably stayed on from one of the previous car he allowed to pass. Regardless, this almost became a very costly mistake. Should I have gone for the pass there? Usually I probably wouldn't or would with a bit more distance with such a random vehicle, but the indicator gave me more confidence. Hands down one of my best laps ever. Not the fastest or the most exclusive, but the most engaging. Following 220hp/940 kg (+ driver) Civic EF (B18 engine) of Robin in 250hp/1100kg (+ driver&passenger) K20 EP3 Type R of Luka was a thing of 90s kids dreams. It was amazing to see that having lower weight allowed Robin to carry more speed through the corners and pull away slightly better due to better power/weight ratio.
