2000s Media to ‘Unposed and Unbothered’ This is why I share so much content unposed and unedited. 📺 I regularly think about where beliefs about my body and food came from. From the 2000s to current social media trends. The 2000s, a time when the world seemed obsessed with the idea that to be valued, you had to fit into a size 0 and that it was acceptable to weigh someone on public television. It’s a story of pressure, unrealistic standards, and the constant pursuit of perfection. 📼 As I revisit those old video clips and now new social media trends, it’s clear how deeply these messages affected me and can still impact many others. I believe my worth was tied to my appearance. I felt the pressure to conform to those narrow beauty standards. I have two little sisters who look up to me, just as many of you have younger siblings, children, or loved ones who see you as a role model. They deserve to know that their worth isn’t dictated by their appearance. Their kind hearts, creative talents, and so much more make them incredibly beautiful and special. These experiences are part of what inspired me to start “Unposed and Unbothered.” I struggled with my relationship with food, from b!nge e@ting as a way to cope with my emotions to developing a paralyzing fear of food, resulting in severe undereating. It’s a journey that was painful and isolating, but it’s also one that led me to this point of healing and acceptance. I wanted to break free from the filters, the edits, the shame, and the restrictions that had held me back for far too long. I wanted to show the world what a very normal body can look like when it’s celebrated just as it is. 💖 Now, I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. What media or social pressures have influenced your beliefs about your body and your relationship with food? How have you worked to overcome them? Conversation is one of the ways we’re able to support each other in embracing our true selves. Keep thriving my friends 💙

How it can feel sometimes… Not my normal caption. This is something I wrote in my journal a while ago in the midst of my struggles with body dysmorphia, trying to put into words how it felt. It may or may not resonate, but I felt inclined to share. If does help someone, know you’re not alone. — In the mirror, I see a stranger staring back at me. The reflection distorts reality, playing tricks on my mind. Every curve, every imperfection magnified, scrutinized. I smile, but behind the facade lies a whirlwind of doubt, insecurity, and fear. Snap. The camera captures a moment frozen in time. I hold my breath as I review the image, hoping to see the version of myself I've crafted in my mind. But what stares back at me is a stranger, a shadow of who I thought I was. The lines blur between perception and reality, leaving me lost in a maze of uncertainty. It's a battle fought in silence, a war waged within. The relentless whispers of inadequacy echo through the chambers of my mind, drowning out the voice of reason. I long to break free from the chains of self-doubt, to embrace the beauty that lies within. But amidst the chaos, there is hope. With each passing day, I learn to rewrite the narrative, to silence the voices of doubt and embrace the truth that lies within. I am more than the reflection in the mirror, more than the sum of my perceived flaws. I’m on a journey of self-discovery, of learning to love the skin I'm in, flaws and all. It's not always easy, but with each step forward, I reclaim a piece of myself, inching closer to acceptance, to peace, to freedom. And in the end, that's the greatest love story of all.

Which phase in?? If you’re not sure ⬇️ A reminder that EVERY woman’s journey through her menstrual cycle is as unique as she is. One person may experience minimal fluctuations & change, while another may experience severe symptoms and change. Regardless of the severity of your symptoms, we should have basic knowledge around our menstrual cycle. A brief breakdown: The average menstrual cycle is 28 days. It can range from 24-35. <- if you consistently experience irregular periods ( ~3+ months) talk to your doctor! Different phases: Phase 1: Menstruation (Day 1-5) 🩸💤 - A time of restoration and renewal. While some may experience lower energy levels, others may find the release of endorphins empowering. Listen to your body and adjust your training intensity accordingly. Aka - if you have some 💩 cramps and feel like 🗑️ maybe focus on walking and light activity <- light activity can help your cramps! If you feel fine, why change anything? Phase 2: Follicular Phase (days 1-14 - overlaps with menstruation) - The body revives, and energy levels rise. Hormonal balance and increased estrogen levels can enhance endurance and strength gains. Potentially an opportunity to push your limits and reach new heights. 🌼💫 Phase 3: Ovulation(~day 14)- aka when you’re feeling extra frisky. With a surge in estrogen and testosterone, performance may be at its peak. Many women experience heightened energy, so it may be a time for intense workouts and skill development. 🌕🔥 Phase 4: Luteal Phase (day 15-28) - As progesterone levels rise, energy may fluctuate, and some may experience premenstrual symptoms. Adjusting your training routine to honor your body’s needs. Again, if you feel like 🗑️ maybe focus on exercises that promote relaxation, balance, and recovery. 🌙🧘♀️ How can you track it? I like @flo for general tracking and @naturalcycles for fertility awareness. Flo has a free version they do bombard you with ads to sign up 😂 nc requires a subscription. Both are great! My FREE three guide bundle in my bbyyyeee-oh has a nutrition guide with a full breakdown of each phase of your cycle, nutrition suggestions to support your cycle, and more 🫶

Tired of diet industry myths? So was Megan. If you’ve been told PCOS makes weight loss impossible, let’s shatter those myths. Megan, a working mom of two, knows the struggle. She was trapped in the yo-yo diet cycle, believing in all the wrong advice. Megan had enough and transformed her life. No more extreme diets, no endless cardio. Incredible progress, improved labs, and a mindset shift. Megan’s proof—it’s possible, and you can too! A Brutally Honest Revelation. 5% succeed in weight loss because they understand the psychology and science of lasting change. The rest fall into three categories: ‘good,’ those who commit to lifelong change; ‘bad,’ who repeat diet cycles; ‘ugly,’ those with knowledge but no action. Nobody wants to be in the ‘bad’ or ‘ugly’ category, yet many are. Successful people admit biases and invest in coaching. They think about value, not cost. Unsuccessful ones look for the cheapest options and make minimal progress. Psychology and science of weight loss are simple. Our clients succeed by adopting habits, focusing on behavior change, and supporting hormone health with guidance. For the rare few who act, it’s worth it. If you see yourself in the ‘bad’ or ‘ugly,’ congrats, you’re halfway there. Now, take the next step.
